Hi there!
I thought I would share a little embossing resist tutorial with you today, you will need Versamark, clear embossing powder, a heat gun, and a couple of contrasting colours of mist.
I have created a card with this technique, but it would also be great on the background of a layout.
Start by stamping and embossing an image onto your base, heat set the embossing powder.
Now spray a little mist onto a craft mat (or a piece of recycled plastic - I try to reuse all my crafty garbage at least once before I toss it) you will want a little puddle of each, you do not need a lot.
Using a baby wipe or a foam brush rub a little of the deepest colour across your embossed image, going a little wider than the image in all directions.
Give the image a little clean up with a baby wipe to make the embossed
area more visible. The embossing gives you some working time.
Repeat the last two steps for each colour you choose to use.
After a final wipe, I used the tube / paint stamping technique from last week to put a ring around the age of the recipient of this card to play up on the image. Then I mounted my base onto a card front and stamped a birthday sentiment.
I think I will give this a try on a layout, I think it could be a fun way to highlight some random stamping.
Thanks for visiting!

The technique without a name!
Hi there!
I have a new tutorial to share with you today. I do not even know what to call this one, but it incorporates stamping, paint, randomness and recycling. It is easy enough for the kiddies to do, too. So it has to be good, right!
So grab yourself some paint (any colour is fine), waxed paper to make for a nice flat palette with easy clean up, and a paper towel tube. (If you want to hear my rant on using toilet paper tubes in crafting you can pop over to my personal blog, but I will spare you readers from it here! )
Next decide what you want to use for your background, I decided on plain off-white cardstock.
Then I just started stamping, I used a fairly regular pattern, but random stamping would work fine too.
After my paint stamping dried I used my creation for a card background, I think it turned out pretty cute.
Can you imagine using this technique on a scrapbook page background, kind of the way you would use a mask. I think it would be incredible, and quick and easy!
Next week I am showing you how I incorporate this technique with another, you won't want to miss it it is fabulous!
Thanks for visiting!

Welcome to Our New and very first Sketch Design Team!
Hello all!
Please allow us to take a few minutes to introduce you to our inaugural Sketch Design Team! But first, we would like to thank the many of you that applied for a position on our team. We are humbled by your entries. It was so hard to choose this team, we wish we could have chosen everyone. We are sure you can tell that we ended up inviting more designers than we had originally anticipated - the decision was just that difficult. In the end, we chose designers with a wide range of styles, hoping we will have reveals that will inspire all!
Please join us in welcoming the following ladies to the ScrapMuch? team.....
I participate in the Scrap Much? challenges as often as I can so I am thrilled to be on the design team! I've been scrapbooking since I was 16 but have collected ephemera and taken tons of photos for as long as I can remember. I turn 30 this year and that seems impossible to me. My day job for the last seven years has been a registered nurse. My boyfriend is an attorney and we adopted a black Lab three years ago. He keeps us busy. My other hobbies are running, reading, and working on my never ending To Do list on the home I just purchased in November.
My name is Jackie Plank and I have been scrapping for approximately 10 years. My style is constantly evolving as I am always learning new techniques and trying new materials, tools and mediums. Sketches are ever present when I am working on layouts or cards, I don’t think I have ever started one without a sketch. I live with my husband of 41 years, a Shih Tzu named Jack, and a feline named Lucky. I am disabled so I spend most of my days scrapping.
Hello! I am Laureen Baskerville. So thrilled to be here on the Design Team for ScrapMuch?. My FIRST scrapbook was on Princess Diana's wedding: I clipped and pasted all of the newspaper clippings (I was 11 years old). It was fun! I always wanted to do scrapbooking but always had this excuse that I have a husband and four children (2 girls and 2 boys), so I did not have time... REALLY I ALL NEEDED TO DO WAS TO MAKE TIME
FOR MYSELF! I love to do double page layouts because they hold more photos. I do single layout and cards too. I truly love to scrapbook the memories that we create daily! I easily am inspired by so many avenues, Pinterest, blogs, fellow scrappers, magazines and pictures. Feel free to visit and follow my blog.
I have been scrapbooking in various degrees since I was a young teen. I attended the first retreat hosted by the ladies of ScrapMuch?, 4 years ago and there has been no looking back! I work at a very technical job, so crafting allows me to express my creative side. I love to take photos of my family, which results in a tonne of photos for inspiration. I enjoy all types of crafting, but scrap booking and quilting are my favourites.

I am
a thirty-something wife, and mother of one girl (who is the subject of most of
my scrapbook pages). I live in Paradise, Newfoundland,
Canada. I am an
Optometrist, working full time. I
have been scrapbooking since around 2003. I never know how to describe my
scrapbook style, and it evolves constantly! I always feel the need to leave
white space, and I love incorporating mixed media into my pages, whether it be
mists, watercolours, modeling paste, etc, etc… I just love to get inky!

Can you pinch me.....hello there, Danie Ramirez-Diakun (Scrapaholic) here
from Huntsville, Ontario. I think I'm still on the moon. I am happily married
to the love of my life and a mommy to my son, Joaquin. My boys are very
supportive of my paper crafting addiction!! I started my scrapbooking journey
almost three years ago with ScrapMuch? at a fall weekend retreat, and hooked
ever since. Very fitting, I now start my Design Team journey with ScrapMuch? as
well. I am so blessed to be part of this amazing ScrapMuch family and to call

I started scrapbooking approximately 7 years ago after the birth of my second
child, and have never looked back. My tolerant hubby and two energetic girls
are of course the subject of most of my pages, although a newly acquired puppy
is making his way comfortably into the picture! I tend to wake up thinking of my
next scrapbook page - I'm one of those! I truly do love this craft and often
wonder what I did before scrapbooking. Joining Scrapmuch?! is another venture
I'm excited to begin.

Tiiu Jaanusson
I am so excited to be joining the ScrapMuch? Design Team. I have been
scrapbooking on an off for about 15 years. However, I have made it a weekly
habit for about the last 3 years. Scrapbooking as become not only a fantastic
creative outlet but one that allows me let go of everything else while I'm in my
zone. I love creating and preserving our families memories. I currently work
full time as an interior designer so most of my scrapbooking happens late at
night once my two beautiful daughters are asleep. I have a five year old and 20
month old. They keep me hopping and moving, but make life so much fun! I am
one of the lucky ones to have an amazingly supportive husband. We have been
married 8 years and I can't imagine my life without him.
Hello! My name is Tiiu, I’m 36 years old, and I live in small town
South-Western Ontario with my husband and 2 awesome cats. Other things I love
include; traveling, a great mug of coffee, yoga, Hello Kitty, HBO shows (like
Game of Thrones, True Blood, etc.), orchids and basically all things cute! My
days are spent working as a Paramedic, so I definitely need a creative outlet
like scrapbooking. I started scrapbooking 8 years ago, and I’ve been known to
make many mini-albums, the occasional card and altered decor project too. My
first exposure to working with sketches was 7 years ago when I was lucky enough
to make an album at CKU Detroit with THE Becky Higgins. Since then
I’ve made at least one big scrapbook trip per year; this year I’m so excited to
be returning to Teresa Collins’ Inspiration Unlimited in Henderson Nevada. I am
soooo flattered and excited to be chosen for the ScrapMuch? Design Team. This is
my first design team assignment, and I’m really looking forward to sharing my
creations over the next 6 months.

Frosted and Embossed Acrylic
Hi there!
I ran across this tutorial online and knew I just had to give it a whirl, it is so fun and easy - you will love it! It also involves a bit of recycling so with earth day coming up next week it is perfect timing, too!
I am using an old American Crafts pop dot package, I always keep these as they can be using for so many things.
First you want to separate the front and back. I will put the front away for the next time I want to mix a bit of white paint with mist to make a custom colour, it make a great palette.
Trim the edges off of the back piece so that you have a nice flat piece of acrylic.
Now pop that nice flat piece of acrylic into your Cuttlebug or other embosser, and run it through. I am working with a large polka dot embossing folder.
How cute is this, it embossed like a charm!
Next, I sanded it with an emery board, you could also use fine grit sandpaper. I just didn't have any handy. (Read, I was too lazy to go to the garage and look for some.) This photo shows the subtle difference between the non sanded dots on the left and the sanded dots on the right.
Here is a little close up shot of how the embossed acrylic looks on my projects.
This is my finished project, a birthday card for a sweet friend!
Thank you for visiting today!
