Hi all!
Later today we will be heading home from CHA, and you know I'm going to be uploading all the pictures of the lovely new products to my computer, so that I can share some with you.
But for now, I have my reveals for you. I was thrilled to get a few samples from Authentique to play with this month, and am even more thrilled that the store will be stocking this company, sometime shortly after CHA. They offer beautiful papers and embellishments that are of great quality.
I'm loving the colours in this line, greys, black, mustard with a hint of a pinkish red. Love, love. They are great for masculine layouts, as well as almost anything else you want to scrap.... weddings, anniversaries, milestone adult birthdays. I decided to scrap this photo of my hubby that I have been hanging onto for a while. It's not often he let's me take his photo without a goofy face. And it's true, he does make my life blissful.
The collections include this little word stickers, that you can use is so many fun ways.
I used a scalloped circle Spellbinders die and some tissue paper to create this flower and then misted it with 'Raven" Glimmermist. The leaves are punched, then I ran them through a crimper while they were folded in half and added some ink.
I hand cut these little banners and added one of the great phrase chipboard pieces and a button to create this little cluster of embellishments.
This line also seemed perfect to scrap these photos of my little guy getting a Ball Hockey award. I love that he was so wrapped up in checking out his award that he didn't realize, at first, that I was snapping pictures.
Layering a couple of tags, grounds the one you actually write on. This one is just the perfect size for the date and his initial.
The tags and phrases that go with this collection are so versatile and fun.
These collections also come with larger letter stickers. I decided to use one as a monogram.
A while ago I came across this quote and it really spoke to me " Life is short. Break the rules. Forgive quickly. Kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably. And never regret anything that makes you smile!" I knew that this was something that I wanted to remember and thus incorporate into my everyday life. So I thought I would create a layout about me and incorporate the quote as a "Note to Self". I used the more girly collection to create this layout of myself.
More great tags and phrases.
There are large and small letter stickers with this line as well as the word stickers that I incorporated into my journaling.
Lots of layering for dimension.
Next up is a Valentine card....
The polka dot paper is not from this collection, but from my pile of scraps. I didn't have just the right piece of pink paper left to ground my grey piece of paper with the die cut hearts.
I stamped a sentiment in one of the heart shaped windows and embellished around it.
Layered die cut hearts add dimension.
Next up is this embellished lollipop. These would make a fun Valentine treat for a class, a dance group or a bunch of girl friends.
It was really quick and simple to create this. Especially with the word stickers.
A little side view shot.
I did create one more thing with this pink line, but I am going to keep you in suspense for a little while longer!
Thank you for visiting the blog today. We really appreciate the visit!
Laura
xoxo
