Technique Wednesday!

Hello all,

Today I am sharing a storage tip with you.  I don't know about you but lately I have been doing most of my scrapping away from home or sometimes at the kitchen table, which is not close to where I store my scrappy stuff.  As a result, the storage I was using for all of my little embellishments (pretty little jars and larger containers) was no longer optimal.  When I saw Eileen's portable system, a cute Creative Opitons tote, I knew it was for me so I snapped a few pictures of hers, check it out......

This sweet 3 drawer style, has a really good amount of upper storage, too.

Some of these drawer inserts are re-sizable.
There are different styles of these totes available at the store,  here.

Check out mine, I love it!

I couldn't resist glamming it up with a 'laptop skin'!  It makes it nice and personal, you could even use rub-ons and rhinestones from your scrappy stash!
You can see they come in different sizes with a different amount and types of drawers.

I love having all of my buttons sorted by colour!

As well as my miscellaneous embellishments, sorted by type.

Do you have a favourite storage system?  If so, please share I am always interested in what others are using.

Thanks for stopping by!

March Featured Customer

Hello everyone!

This month's featured customer is our friend, Victoria Keith.  Victoria and I have been scrapping together for many years.

Here is Victoria, this picture was taken when she was playing in the snow with her family.

And now for the Q & A part of our feature.....

1.  {SM?} How long have you been scrapbooking?
I have been scrapbooking for  5 years.

2. {SM?} Do you also create hand made cards?
Yes. I love making cards from my scraps.

3.  {SM?} Who is your favourite subject to scrapbook?
My children; Ethan (5 yrs), Aaron (4 yrs) and Sadie (20 months).

4.  {SM?} Where do you find your scrapbooking inspiration?
Mostly from my amazingly  talented friends and magazines.

5.  {SM?} Where do you scrapbook?
In my not so nice scrap room in the basement, as well as at my friends' houses and of course retreats and crops.

6.  {SM?} What is one of your current favourite products?
It is hard to pick just one thing,  but I love flowers and anything with bling.

7.  {SM?} Do you have a blog that we can share with our readers?
No.

Here are a couple of Victoria's favourite layouts.....

We love that Victoria documented the 'getting there' part of her trip, and this beautiful rainbow.

Lots of scrappers are hesitant to use flowers on a boy's page, we love that Victoria is not!
Thank you Victoria for playing along with our feature this month.
If you would like to be a 'Featured Customer', click here, to email me and let me know!
Thank you for stopping by the blog today.

Pleated Cardstock Flower Tutoriall

Hello friends!

I have another video tutorial to share with you today.  I hope you aren't getting tired of them.  I am bound and determined to make one totally perfect, and that could take several weeks of practice ;) .  I created this video after finding a cute and easy pleated cardstock flower that I thought would be fun to share.

I know the flower is a little hard to see in the video (still working on my video-ing skills), here is a closer look at the flower. You can see in the second picture that I added some inking to the edges, I really like t his effect, but it's personal choice.

And here is a look at the card that I created this flower for....

And a close up of the flower on the card....

Thanks for popping by again this week!

March Reveal

Hello all!

I was lucky enough to get some of Little Yellow Bicycle's Twig collection in my Design Kit  this month!  It is so beautiful and absolutely one of all of our favourite collections from CHA.  It feels like spring, though I would use it for a variety of layouts, and it is very gender neutral!

Here is a look at the items that were in my kit....

And here is what I created using the kit....

FAVOURITES
Here's a little tip for those of you that struggle with journalling, especially on things like this school photo.  For this layout I 'interviewed' Timmy to find out some of his current favourites, and then jotted down his answers as my journalling.   I love doing this it is super fun to look back on these and see how much he has changed.  This might make a good annual tradition!

 FRIENDS MAKE LIFE SWEETER
I love this picture of Timmy and his friends, Ally and Avery, such sweet little faces!  Once I saw the clouds and butterflies, this layout just screamed picket fence to me.  The fence is cut on my Cricut.

 PROMISE ME
No matter where we go for a hike or walk, this kid always ends up with a giant collection of sticks.  Even on the walk home from school!  That being said, this little habit needed to be documented.

 BUTTERFLY CARD
There are beautiful doilies that go along with this collection, unfortunately I didn't get them... so I cut this one on my Cricut...it's not great but I love the butterflies on this card.

The I decided to make a couple of home decor items.

BIRDHOUSE
I have had this birdhouse in with my scrap stuff for a while now, just waiting for the right paper to come along, this Twig collection was definitely it!

FLOWER POT
This pot of flowers took so long to make, but it was so worth it, they are so lovely sitting on my shelf.

Thank you so much for stopping by the ScrapMuch? blog today to see what I have been up to!
