Inspiration on Thursday

Hi there!

It's Thursday  and that means we have some inspiration for you!  Eileen has been on a scrapping roll and today's inspiration came courtesy of her!

I love the hit of blue on an otherwise fairly mono chromatic layout, very eye catching!

Loving the long title, it really works!
Thanks for sharing Eileen!

If you have a layout or card that you would like to see posted here to inspire others, email your creations to me here.  Come on give it a try, I'd love to share your work on this blog!

Thanks for popping by the blog today!

Tips and Techniques Wednesday - Valentine Garland

Hi there!

I have a fun and quick tutorial for you today.  It is an easy way to add some Valentine decor to your home.

First, gather your supplies, you will need some patterned paper in a Valentine theme or Valentine colours, a heart punch or die cutting machine and a sewing machine.
Cut or punch a bunch of hearts (really if you had very theme-y paper you could even use circles).
Now start feeding them through your sewing machine.
Sew across the middle of each heart, stitching a few stitches between each heart so you have a bit of a strand / gap.
Continue on until you have created a strand of hearts your desired length.
See I have about a dozen or so stitched together so far, noticed the stitched gap in between.
 Keep going........
Now look at my finished garland.  Perfect for draping over your curtain rod or even a china cabinet.

Festive right?

See I told you it was easy!

Thanks for joining me on the blog today!

February Colour Challenge

Hello all!

This is our second colour challenge and we have chosen to use some festive colours in the spirit of the quickly approaching Valentine's Day.

All you have to do is create a paper crafted project that uses the colours from the challenge and post it on your blog or any other online forum that you can link us up to, by the deadline (about 3 weeks from the start of the challenge).  Then click on the title of your blog post, copy the URL at the top, and link it using Mr. Linky below.

 or

You can join our Flickr group called ScrapMuch? February Colour Challenge

by clicking on the link, click on join the group and then create a log in id and then upload a photo of your project there.  We hope to create a new group here for each month's colour challenge.   Don't forget to leave us a comment and let us know that you joined in on the fun!

Please show the challenge colours on your blog (just copy and paste them) and show a link back to this site to encourage your readers to play along as well.  You can link up your projects here for 3 weeks following the challenge and then we will choose some to feature on this blog.  You can play along as many times as you like, just be sure to link up each creations separately.

ScrapMuch? on the road

Hi all,

This is just a reminder that ScrapMuch?  will be the onsite store for this charity event on February 25th....

As part of the fun, we are offering a class for this beautiful layout designed by our own Eileen.
This layout was created with only paper featuring several different punches, textured papers and layering techniques. Each person will be able to customize their own title using the Cricut. Eileen used one 5x7 and four 4x5 sepia coloured photos. We will be charging $10 + tax, with $5 of this cost going straight to the cause!  Such a great deal, you get a completed layout and we get to donate more money to the cure!  It's a win, win situation.

If you want more information on this event, you can find it here.

Thanks for popping by today!
