DIY Chalkboard Key Fob Tutorial

Hi there!

Laura here today sharing a little tip/tutorial just to remind you that you can use your scrappy supplies for other household projects.

As you probably know, I recently moved, and with that move I inherited a whole bunch of new keys.  One of the first things we hung up in the new house was a pretty chalkboard / key hook that we picked up pretty inexpensively from Home Depot.  Of course, you know I needed to have the keys look cute too, right?!

So I grabbed these little black plastic tags that have been in my stash forever and this white Galaxy Marker from American Crafts that I got at ScrapMuch? which writes really great on dark mediums.

How cute do these look?  And oh so quick!

Now I just have to figure out what all these other keys unlock!

If you do not have any cute little plastic tags, You could make them easily enough with your manual die cutting machine and a smaller scale label die (or really even a simple circle die would be cute).  You could recycle some plastic or even grab a cheap plastic duotang (since they are all on sale now for a buck or two) in the colour of your choice.

Simply cut the duotang into smaller strips that will fit through your Cuttlebug or similar machine and your will have several tags in no time!

Thank you for visiting today!
