November Designer Reveal showcasing Sweater Weather by Lawn Fawn

Hi there!

Laura here today and I am so excited  to share my latest reveal with you!  I received the adorable Sweater Weather collection from Lawn Fawn to play with this month, which really inspired me as some of these colours are not colours that I typically gravitate towards and it is always fun to use a fresh new colour palette.  I added a bit of coordinating cardstock for a little extra fall texture.

I also received this twine....

... this Hemptique cording is just perfect for adding a touch of rustic to your page and it goes through button holes like a dream!  It is also one of my go to products that is on my "must have on hand list".

So how about some crafty reveal pics?

FALL COLOURS
This was the first page that I designed with this collection and I was pretty excited to get started.  I had recently created a fall wreath and it inspired me to create a layout that looked somewhat like a wreath.  As is typical for me, when I have an idea about how I would like my page to look, I often create a 'template' in my Silhouette software first, and doing that for this page helped me to see where the elements needed to sit.    I tucked away my journalling behind the photos on one of the pretty 3x4 cut aparts in the collection.

You can see that on this page, I used the hemp cording for an accent rather than to thread buttons. It is a fun look and adds a bit of rustic fall texture.

The title was cut using my Silhouette, using both the pen holder and the blade.

I used pop dots here and there on my page to add dimension, I added some Time Holtz Distress Ink to all of my elements and some doodling with a Sharpie to a select few of the pager elements. The leaves were crumpled and Distress Ink was added along the creases.  I think they look as if we found them on the forest floor.

I also added a bit of Distress Ink to the background using a mask, and as a final touch I just couldn't resist adding a few gems from my stash.

FALL FAIR

I thought that this paper that I chose for my background was so pretty, It really inspired me, and I loved that it is a little bolder than I normally use for a background.  Sometimes when you step outside of your comfort zone good things happen! This page boasts a lot of colour, just perfect for the vibrancy of the rides in the photos.

I got a little creative with my title, making a cut file to incorporate a Lawn Fawn flair as a winner's ribbon, in place of the letter 'A'.

This page features a little half circle cut out to nest  a pretty flair into, as well as some wrapped hemp cord and doodling.

I created this maple leaf die cut, because it speaks to Canadian falls!

FRESH PICKED
I had a personal goal to showcase the 3x4 cut apart cards in an interesting way on a layout.  I chose a few that coordinated, rounded the corners and then played with laying them out on my page, this is what I eventually decided on.  It makes for a pretty simple and clean base, which I love, that I can add as much as I like to embellish my page.

I strategically placed a 3x4 card that I could add a decent amount of journalling to in a place where it would stay exposed on my layout.

I had some fun creating a custom Silhouette cut file for this page.

Also more gems from my stash and some decorative stapling.

THANKSGIVING HOSTESS GIFT BOX
For my last creations I decided to create a little 3D project.

I just cut and added some fun fall elements and layered them up with great Lawn Fawn flair to decorate to top of my box.

Thank you for stopping in today and letting me share my projects with you!  If you are interested there is a bit of detail about the actual photos on my pages on my blog.
