Hi there!
Guess what? I have now been sharing tutorials here for 3 1/2 years, almost every Wednesday - to the tune of 178 tips or techniques shared (plus this one)!!! I must say it is getting more and more difficult to come up with fresh ideas to bring to you each week. Do you have any suggestions?
I have an ongoing list that I add to whenever I think of something that might be fun to try or I see something on the www. Some ideas are simple and some are very involved and I am always up for suggestions or guests. Often I try to use a tip or technique on a project that I am creating, for two reasons really - one so that I can create a sample for you and secondly so that I have a project crossed off my to do list.
Today's tip unfortunately does not come with a finished project... I quite simply ran out of time. However, it is easy and you will still get the gist.
I think many of us have this scallop punch, or one quite similar - even a larger one will work just fine for this technique.
Go ahead and punch along one edge of your paper of choice.
Trim your paper down to your desired width.
Now trim width-wise down the middle of each scallop. How about that, you just created some sweet and easy banner pieces to adorn your next project!
You can make these in any size that you need, super quick and it is a great way to use up some scraps! [Sorry for the dark images - this was a 3am project ;) ]
Have a great day!
Laura
