Tip and Technique Wednesday

Hello blog friends,

It's Wednesday and I am back again with a tip for you this week.  I wanted to show you how easy it is to add a bit of dimension to your layout or project, without much extra work.

When creating this card, I die cut a butterfly, it looked cute on the card, but it wasn't quite enough.  But with only a couple of more pieces of patterned paper, I could die cut 2 more butterflies, and layer the three together.  It has much more impact that way.  Using different colours of paper adds a little interest, but you could easily use the same paper, too.

Slightly bending the wings, enhances the dimension.

Next, I decided to cluster a few more embellishments around my die cut butterflies.  This really defines the focal point.  I really like to cluster embellishments on my projects, I find it makes them stand out more.
And this is my finished card.

So there you have it, next time you pull out your die cutter or punches, punch out a few and layer them together.  And for an added bonus, cluster a few embellishments together and create some wow factor!

Thanks for popping in to check out this week's tip!
Laura
